GoodWhale Proud to be Part of Delegation Representing Singapore Startup Ecosystem in Taiwan
TAIPEI, March 22, 2024 — GoodWhale is proud to have participated in a recent delegation representing Singapore’s startup ecosystem in Taiwan. Organized by Singapore’s Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE.SG) and Startup Island TAIWAN, this event marks a significant step towards strengthening the startup ecosystems of both nations through collaboration and innovation.

Memorandum of Understanding Signed
On March 20, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Startup Island TAIWAN and ACE.SG. The signing ceremony included prominent community partners and government agencies, such as the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Small and Medium Enterprises and Startup Administration, the National Science and Technology Council, and the Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency. This MoU aims to foster cross-border collaborations, providing startups from both Taiwan and Singapore a platform to access essential resources and enhance their chances of success in new markets.
Singapore’s Role in the Global Startup Ecosystem
Deputy Minister Kao Shin-Quey of the National Development Council emphasized Singapore’s position as a leading startup hub, serving as an entry point for startups looking to expand into the ASEAN market. The MoU represents a significant advancement in building mutually beneficial relationships that will empower Taiwanese and Singaporean startups to explore third-party markets, including Australia and Indonesia.
GoodWhale’s Contribution to the Startup Ecosystem
As part of the Singaporean delegation, GoodWhale showcased its innovative contributions to the region’s startup ecosystem. ACE.SG CEO Patrick Lim commended the progress made through initiatives like the “Taiwan-Singapore Startup Exchange Program,” which has facilitated Taiwanese startups in entering new markets via Singapore.
Insights on Expanding into Southeast Asian Markets
Kelvin Sun, VP of WI Harper, moderated a panel featuring GoodWhale, Cooby, and DottedSign, discussing the challenges and opportunities for startups expanding into Southeast Asia. The panel highlighted how startups can leverage Singapore’s ecosystem to scale regionally.
